Follow Me Option
If you travel, and want to be able to use international callback from a number other than the one you registered with, you can remotely reprogram your callback to ring you at a new number. This feature, called “Follow-me”, literally allows callback to follow you wherever you travel. And by using this feature, you can save money on expensive hotel or local long distance rates.
If you like, you can program your callback to be used from any location with a touch-tone phone: your hotel room, a office, or even a café that you regularly visit.
Here’s how it works:
From Home:(1) Before you leave home, call your Callback number. When you receive the callback, press *# on your phone to enter the option menu.
(2) Listen to the voice prompt which will guide you through the different options:
- Press one (1) to change your speed-dial numbers.
- Press two (2) to start your conference call.
- Press three (3) to change your (greeting) message to the switchboard operator.
- Press four (4) to redial the last entered phone number
To access the option menu from any touch-tone phone in the world follow these instructions:
(1) First, dial your trigger number (you will be billed by the local phone company for this call, or you can use an additional callback account).(2) Let the phone ring until you hear a voice prompt asking you for your account number and PIN.(3) Enter your account number and PIN. Another voice prompt will guide you through the different options listed below.- Press tone (1) to change your callback number.
- Press two (2) to change your (greeting) message to the switchboard operator.
- Press three (3) to request a callback.
- Press zero (0) to exit.
If you are not prompted for a PIN, you will not be able to program your service until you contact your sales representative and make arrangements to obtain the Follow Me feature.
That’s it! With this feature, now you can program almost any phone to use callback-which makes using international callback both cheaper and more convenient than ever before.
