Calling Instructions

Please make sure you have direct dial service on your line and thatyou are using a tone dial phone. Please follow these steps when making an international call:
  1. Dial your Trigger Number in the U.S. for the telephone from which you are calling. This Trigger Number is a number issued to you only. Please keep it in a safe place. It is the number of our switch in the U.S., so you must dial the international exchange code tocall the U.S. from your country. For easy dialing, program your Trigger Number as a speed dial number in your phone.
  2. When you hear the Trigger Number ring, hang up after one ring. No one will answer this call. Do not let the line ring more than two times, otherwise our system will not call you back.
  3. The System will call you back within a few seconds. Answer the call and you will hear avoice prompt Please enter the number you wish to dial.Do not wait longer than five seconds between digits, and dial as if calling from within the United States:
To call the U.S., Canada or the Caribbean, dial: 1 + (three digit area code) + (seven digit number).
To call anywhere else in the world, dial: (Country Code) + (City Code) + (Number). Please dial country and city code without leading zero.
  4. To make another call, without hanging up, press the pound button (#) twice. You willhear the voice prompt again. Now dial the next number you want to call. You can make unlimited sequential calls this way.
NOTE: Always remember to press the (*) twice when you have completed all your calls, and before hanging up your phone.

U.S. Calling Card:

You may make phone calls from any phone in the U.S. by following thesesteps:
  1. Dial the U.S. Access 800 number.
  2. Listen for the voice prompts and enter your 10 digit trigger number and your four (4) digits PIN.
Important Notice:In some countries, such as Africa, when you hang up after a call, the local provider does not hang up the call, and will continue to charge you.

This is why when you are making a callback call, it is important to press the * key twice before you hang up your phone. Otherwise, in some countries the call will not be disconnected, and you will continue to be charged until the local provider realizes that you are no longer on.

By pressing the * (star) key on your keypad twice, you will force the line to disconnect, and can avoid being charged for being online after hanging up your call.

Troubleshooting

Cannot dial the Trigger Number?
If you cannot dial to the Trigger Number in the U.S., you may not be dialing the international prefix number required by your country's exchange when making a call to the U.S. Dial international codes and the country code for the U.S. before the Trigger Number.
Cannot get a call back?
Please make sure you are calling from the phone which has the U.S. Trigger Number assigned to it, as otherwise, the System may be calling back to another phone.
Be sure to hang up after the first ring. If you let the Trigger Number ring more than three times it will not call you back. This feature prevents unintended callbacks caused by telemarketers or people dialing wrong numbers.
Cannot dial the destination number?
Be sure you are using a touch-tonephone.
If you have trouble dialing the destination number after receiving the call back, please check that you are using a touch-tone phone. If you are using a pulse phone, our switch cannot hear any tone and willsay You have entered an invalid phone number, please try again.
To check if your phoneis set to pulse or tone, pick up your phone and press anybutton. If you hear a tone when you are pressing the button, your telephone is set to tone dial. If you hear clicking, itis set to pulse dial. Many phones have a little switch which can change between tone and pulse. Switch it to tone and try again.
If your exchange requires pulse dialing, you can still use the callback system. To check if your exchange uses pulse, make sure your phone is switched to tone, then pick up your touch-tone phone and isten for a dial tone. After you hear a dial tone, press any button between zero and nine and release it. The dial tone should stop. If it does not stop, your exchange only allows pulse dialing. If your exchange allows only pulse dialing, dial the Trigger Number using pulse dialing. When you get the callback, switch your phone to touch-tone and dial the destination number.
If you don't have a touch-tone phone, you can purchase a tone generator from an electronics store.
Still cannot dial the destination number?
If you still hear the voice prompt You have entered an invalid phone number, please try again. you may be taking too long to dial. Do not wait more than five (5) seconds after you hear a voice say Please enter the number you wish todial. Do not wait longer than five (5) seconds between digits. Our system will let you try three times before you hear the message Sorry, you have entered too many invalid numbers. If the call begins ringing but says Your call cannot be completed as dialed, you have dialed an invalid number. Make sure you dial as if calling from within the U.S.:
To call the US, Canadaor the Caribbean, dial: 1 + (three digit area code) + (sevendigit number).
To call anywhere else in the world, dial: (Country Code) + (City Code) +(Number).
